I love being a chaplain. God gives the opportunity to be with people during times of a spiritual, physical, emotional trainwreck. Transitions have a way of becoming a crisis for those who don’t have someone to walk with them. It is a joy to be able to walk with those in transition. In the past two weeks I have sat in a nursing home, private home, hospital, places on campus, and on-line, and have had the privilege of listening as people share the story of their transition. I continue to learn that as life seems to be falling apart that God is present and in the midst of the pain to embrace, hold and sustain at all times. Sometimes life can seem so discouraging and yet God is in the midst of it all with hope and healing offered for those in need.
