What is Pivot Point Ministries?

The purpose of Pivot Point Ministries is to provide spiritual support, nurture, and, spiritual direction to those experiencing intentional or unexpected life transitions.

A Prayer for Transitional Times

Lord God, you have called your servants to ventures of which we cannot see the ending, by paths as yet untrodden, through perils unknown. Give us faith to go out with good courage, not knowing where we go but only that your hand is leading us and your love supporting us; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. AMEN

This prayer was found in Lutheran Worship (I cannot seem to find it in the Lutheran Service Book) and I believe it is also in the Anglican Book of Common Prayer. To me it is an absolutely powerful prayer of confidence and hope in the Triune God, reflecting the text in Hebrews 11: 1, “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” As Christians we walk confidently through any and all transitions knowing that God is fully present.
