SUPPORT THE WORK IN WITTENBERG-SUMMER 2013

I will be serving as Deputy Director for Wittenberg English Ministries (WEM) from June 12-September 8, 2012.  In this volunteer role, I will support the twofold ministry of WEM, reflected in WEM’s Mission Statement:

  1. connect Jesus Christ to people through a Christian worship and outreach ministry in English directed toward the international visitors and local residents of Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Germany and

  2. provide Lutheran pastors with a ministry growth experience that will enhance their ministry to and with their local congregations.

English-speaking pastors volunteer their time for a two-week period to lead daily devotions and weekly worship in the English language.  Services alternate between the Castle Church and the St. Mary’s (town church).  In addition, they are available for emergency pastoral care, as it might be needed, for English-speaking visitors.

Living as a member of the Wittenberg community, I will also have opportunity to build relationships with local churches and residents as we partner in ministry.  The possibilities for service are immense.

This ministry depends upon the prayers and financial support of dedicated people, committed to the mission of WEM.  I invite you to pray for the work that I will be doing in Wittenberg.  I also invite you to make a financial contribution to WEM.  You may make your pledge at http://www.wittenbergenglishministry.com/form_support.htm.
